Winning Sony World Photography Award for Portraiture out of 170,000 entrants and the National Award for Best overall picture in the UK has been fantastic.  It’s opened avenues and spurred me on to more personal projects.

I’ve been an advertising photographer shooting in London for over 30 years and through my commissions I have been lucky enough to travel quite extensively and have worked on campaigns for many of the best known brands in the World. Recent shoots for Royal Mail, NHS, GSK, Weight Watchers, Paddy Power and Grace Jones for Barclaycard have meant some fantastic new portraits for the website. Over the last few years shooting on the back of TV commercials has become another important skill set.

 I’m always shooting personal tests and have enjoyed teaming up with some fantastic art directors on great projects. I’ve also had images selected for awards including AOP, PDN, Graphis and several others. These have been for personal work as well as commissions and I really am happiest when lost in the world of ‘seeing’ pictures.

During 2022 I decided it was time to ‘give something back’ which always sounds a cliche but feels good. Since that time I have worked for multiple charities primarily helping out with much needed photography. The highlight so far was collaborating on an 30 image exhibition to celebrate Link Age Southwark’s 30 anniversary. I’ve also worked with several other charities who support young people creating Pro Bono photography.
